Winston Churchill
A British statesman, Conservative politician, and writer who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II and again in the early 1950s. Alongside his leadership against Nazi Germany, he held and expressed strongly racist, imperialist views, particularly toward colonized peoples in India, Africa, and the Americas, and his policies during the Bengal famine of 1943 remain deeply controversial.
