Hakeem Jeffries

American politician and attorney serving as the House Minority Leader and leader of the House Democratic Caucus since 2023, making him the first African American to lead a major political party in either chamber of Congress. He has represented New York's 8th congressional district—covering parts of Brooklyn and Queens—since 2013 and is currently in his seventh term.
